U13 Stingers, 2018-2019 (Stratford Volleyball Club)

The Stratford Stingers’ 13U volleyball team finished their season ranked 28th out of just over 100 teams in the province. This was a top finish for the Stratford Volleyball Club. The 13U Stingers’ volleyball team finished their season with a loss in the bronze medal match of Division 1, Tier 4 at the Ontario Volleyball Association’s Provincial Championships.

The 13U Stratford Stingers volleyball team went undefeated and won the gold medal last weekend while hosting the tournament at the Agriplex. The Stingers beat a feisty Chatham Ballhawks team in the final in three sets to secure the win.

The 13U Stingers competed in a 14U OVA tournament this past weekend in Kitchener. After finishing second in pool play, the Stingers lost their next match which would have put them in medal contention. They finished the tournament in sixth place.  The girls worked hard all day playing in six matches and were very competitive against all teams. Their next competition is in Stratford on February 2nd when they host the 13U OVA tournament at the Agriplex.

The 13U Stratford Stingers won their first tournament of the year this past Saturday at the Waterloo Invitational held in Cambridge. The team lost only one game all day landing them in first place among 13 strong teams from around the province. The girls play in their first OVA tournament in London this coming weekend.
