Lee Littel Scholarship Recipient Announced
Submitted By Lori McCabe on Thursday, May 6, 2021
Anika Akroyd-Snider was recently named the recipient of the Lee Littel Scholarship which awards $1000 to a deserving athlete attending post-secondary education in the fall. Anika volunteered well over 100 hours of her time this year to help with the club's Covid protocols which ensured our practices ran smoothly and our athletes stayed safe. Anika was a dedicated teammate of her 18U team and valued member of our SVC community and she is very deserving of this honour.

Lee Littel founded the Stratford Volleyball Club in 1975. Lee valued players developing their athletic abilities along with their commitment to team and personal growth. He took immense pride in seeing players graduate from the club and pursue their education and love of volleyball. After his death in 2011, his family established the Lee Littel Scholarship Fund to assist a deserving SVC graduate with their post-secondary education.  Congratulations, Anika!
