Stratford Volleyball Club Awards 2017-2018

Congratulations to all SVC athletes on a great season!  Our annual banquet and AGM was on May 1st at St. Mikes Secondary School.  We were treated to an inspirational presentation by our own Kylie Wasser who chronicled her own journey and the obstacles that she overcame to become a great volleyball player and coach.  Thanks to Kylie, all the coaches, to Black Angus for providing a great meal and also to Sheri Gilhula for organizing the evening.  The award winners were as follows,

- Olivia Giovinazzo (18U Stingers) was awarded the Stratford Minor Sports Council Female Athlete of the Year for the City of Stratford
- Trent Zorgdrager (17U Stingers) was awarded the Stratford Minor Sports Council Male Athlete of the Year for the City of Stratford.
- Luke Hyde (17U Cobras) made the Ontario Beach Volleyball Team
- Jason Guy (17U Cobras) made the 16U Provincial Indoor Team
- Abbey Thorup (former Stinger) made the 17U Provincial Beach Team
- Avery McConkey (former Stinger) was recruited to the McMaster Marauders 
- Evan Farlardeau (former Cobra) was recruited to U of T Varsity Blues
